The department of plant genetics and production engineering is the first department of agriculture in Lorestan University, which started in 1368 under the name of department of plant production by accepting students in the associate degree, and now it is the most important department of the faculty of agriculture with the largest number of members. The academic staff (11 people with different specializations, including 2 professors, 3 assistant professors, 5 assistant professors and 1 instructor) is working. Currently, the group has a bachelor's degree in production engineering and plant genetics, 4 master's degrees (agrotechnology with two specializations of crop plant ecology and crop physiology, genetics and plant breeding and agricultural biotechnology) and 4 doctoral degrees (biotechnology Agriculture, genetics and plant breeding and agrotechnology with two majors, ecology of agricultural plants and physiology of agricultural plants) are active and accept students day, night and self-governing campus.
