The Department of Horticultural Science Engineering is one of the first active educational groups of the Faculty of Agriculture, which started its activity in 1368 by accepting students in the associate degree in plant production technology. Also, he has been working in the non-continuous bachelor's degree in plant production engineering with a focus on horticulture since 1377, and by graduating 16 courses of students in the associate degree in plant products and 10 courses in the non-continuous bachelor's degree in plant production engineering with a focus on horticulture, he has gained many opportunities and experiences. has obtained According to the general policies of Lorestan University regarding the removal of associate courses and upgrading the level of educational courses, this educational group has removed non-continuous associate and vocational courses and replaced the continuous bachelor's degree in horticultural science and engineering.
At the post-graduate level, he has recruited students in two majors: plant production engineering-improvement of horticultural plants and horticultural science-ornamental plants at the master's level and horticultural science-ornamental plants at the doctoral level. Currently, according to the revision of the fields in 2016, postgraduate students are studying in the following fields.
Senior level: 1- Production of greenhouse products 2- Ornamental plants 3- Medicinal plants
Ph.D.: Physiology of production and post-harvest of horticultural plants
